People helping horses ~ Horses helping people

Nature’s View includes a step-by-step system which is used in starting horses, working with “problem” horses, or moving to a new level of understanding with your “made” horse.

Text Box: You use four components to establish yourself as the “alpha” in your herd of two in the round pen: movement, direction, rhythm and track.
Text Box: In this part of the bridgework, your goal is for the horse to stand still.

The “under saddle” work can be interspersed with long line work in the beginning while introducing the horse to new situations outside the round pen.

As a part of the bridgework, use the head down exercise to test the horse’s willingness to trust you by “giving you his head.”

The bridgework includes lariat work. You can begin by using the coiled lariat to test the horse’s legs, as well as to desensitize the horse’s head.
