WHAT IS NATURE’S VIEW? NATURE’S VIEW is an experiential system, which uses natural horsemanship to help both horses and people. The initial work takes place in a round pen under the guidance of Bruce Anderson. Using NATURE’S VIEW, horses and humans mirror each other’s emotions, thereby taking each other on a voyage of self-discovery. Both horses and people are able to determine which habits are beneficial or not to their well-being. By continuing to work with the system, both are kept on a straight and narrow path, allowing them the opportunity to create new habits, by improving skills such as trust, listening, communication, patience, feel, timing, etc., thereby creating a balance between horse and human. At the same time, by allowing horses to help us in this way, we are in turn helping them by allowing them to once again play a vital role in society as they did before the Industrial Revolution. By putting humans back in touch with their “natural side” (humanity), horses (as a representative of nature) prove the importance of nature for man’s survival. Prior horse experience is not required; a mind is all that you need.

HOW CAN HORSES HELP YOU?
Humans seem to be drawn to horses in a positive way. By working with the horse, you learn about yourself. The horse is intimidating enough to get us to “take our masks off.” Since the horse is a prey animal, it will react quickly to our actions, giving us immediate feedback about ourselves. The horse is a forgiving animal, allowing us to make the mistakes that give us the opportunity to improve our human skills. Because of the horse’s nature, our value system (including preconceived ideas about power, gender, race) does not come into play. Finally, for every one horse, you actually have two horses: the left and the right. Working with “both horses” allows us to work on physical balance. The horse empowers you to be able to change your mindset if you wish, allowing you to make choices, while enabling you to find balance between “Man’s World” and “Nature’s World”, hopefully preventing problems before they occur, one person at a time. |
